Podcast Production Workshop Series

We are offering this workshop, free of charge to young people who are experiencing social disadvantage and/or are living in a vulnerable environment, who are interested in learning the fundamentals of podcast production and who would also be keen to be involved in the production of a six-part pilot series for Grow a Star once the workshop classes are completed.

The workshop includes the following topics: 

• Podcasts and their purpose/role in the media landscape.
• Pre-production: researching stories, finding and booking talent.
• Production: rapport building, interview techniques, capturing a good recording.
• Post-Production: editing software and skills, building narratives and ways to engage the listener.
• Audience Building: social media marketing, cross promotion techniques, community building.

The workshops will run every Wednesday from 3:00pm – 4:00pm for 4 weeks starting from Wednesday 16th March 2022 to Wednesday 6th April 2022
