** UPDATE 12 AUGUST 2025 **
The International Women’s Day funding round received an overwhelming number of applications.
We are now preparing a shortlist for final adjudication with our stakeholders, with recipients to be announced at the end of August.
This special round was made possible thanks to Duane Dowell, CEO of Newcastle Jockey Club, and the Newcastle Racecourse International Women’s Day event committee. Funds were raised at the International Women’s Day event held at Newcastle Racecourse earlier this year.
The next general round of Grow a Star applications will open at the end of September.
