Ignite Young Stars: Music Without Barriers
Talent, creativity and potential exist in every community. Access to opportunity doesn’t.
Ignite Young Stars: Music Without Barriers is a new Term 4, 2026 pilot giving ten young people from Indie College access to quality music tuition and experiences through Grow a Star and the University of Newcastle Conservatorium of Music.
We are seeking an inaugural funding partner to invest $10,000 to make the program possible.
The partnership will provide:
- 90 hours of individual music tuition
- Nine weeks of learning, connection and encouragement
- A shared University of Newcastle Conservatorium experience
- Flexible support through the Music Pathways Fund to remove practical barriers and support continued participation
