Empowering young people has far-reaching, long term positive effects, not only for the individual, but also for the community at large.
We are all about collaboration and partnering with community minded organisations and individuals for the greater good of our young stars.

We all know that there are benefits for being a socially responsible organisation and we can certainly help you tick some of the boxes when it comes to your CSR strategy. Whether it’s investing in our tailored 10-20 Program, financially supporting and/or participating in one of our events or it might be that your interest lies in providing a specific scholarship for a young person

We run a number of events each year, to raise awareness and funds for the Grow a Star program and we can’t do this without financial support.
Our inaugural Lunch for the Stars in 2021 was a huge success, raising over $32,000.00, but none of this would have been possible without the support of generous organisations and individuals in our community.
Our other two annual events – Trek for the Stars and Ride for the Stars have been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic but we’re still on track to hold these in 2022.
We are always on the lookout for partnership opportunities to bring community projects to life. Sometimes we are able to make these happen through grants, and other times funding is sourced through collaboration with businesses, non-government organisations and other charities.

We have plans for an entirely youth led project in 2022, where we will once again partner with the City of Newcastle’s Digital Library and the Newcastle Youth Council, to hold podcast production workshops and ultimately launch a new Grow a Star podcast.
