Amelia's talent is shining through at local eisteddfods but she aspires to one day perform on the ‘big stage’ as a professional.
Amelia is 11 years old and lives with her mother and sister in a Home in Place property in Taree NSW.
With a bit of help through an AON Grow a Star music scholarship, Amelia is studying singing and drama and aspires to go to the Hunter School of the Performing Arts then one day perform on the ‘big stage’ as a professional.
At a recent eisteddfod Amelia competed in four sections which showcased her singing and dancing. Amelia performed beautifully and for her very young age and experience, did exceptionally well, gaining two commendations and two first places!
It was a very long day with her last performance finishing at around 8pm and a two-hour drive home ahead.
Amelia has also excelled in other eisteddfods and she puts this down to the extra tutoring she is getting.
Amelia’s mum says, “It has been wonderful for her confidence, and she is even more driven now to do more"
Next year she will be not only be focusing on singing but will be incorporating drama too and intends to perform it all in next year’s eisteddfods.
